---------------
Brothers and Sisters-
It is with tremendous grief that I must inform you of the passing of Rob Walters 7 year old son Christopher yesterday June 17th. Christopher was at a pool party near their home in Rancho Murieta, during the course of the party Christopher who had been swimming with a lifevest earlier, jumped back in the pool before anyone realized he had not put his Lifevest back on. Despite only being in the water a short period of time and the heroic efforts of several parataxi parents, sac metro firefighters, the air taxi crew and the U.C Davis pediatric trauma staff Christopher Marshall Walters died at UCDMC yesterday evening.
Arrangements are being made today and more info will follow as we have it available. The Walters are very grateful for the outpouring of support that has been shown to them. Please keep them in your prayers as they deal with this heartbreaking event.
Mike Ferguson Alva Smoot
Fire Administration and Local 522 are working to facilitate helping the Walters family to the best of our abilities. We will keep you informed of the different ways you can help very shortly. Please be patient and respect the family's privacy at this time. Thank you.
